Carriers Must Understand the Increased Risks and New Security Architecture Requirements that Come with 5G, Reiss Says San Jose, Calif., Nov. 21, 2018—A10 Networks, a leading provider of intelligent and automated cybersecurity solutions, today announced that its Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, Gunter Reiss, will give a keynote speech at the IFX conference sponsored by Packet in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Nov. 28. His speech, “Mitigating Your Risk in the Emerging 5G World,” will address the challenges mobile operators face in securing new 5G networks and the new technologies and solutions that can protect them. “Service providers face major new opportunities, but also significant security challenges, with 5G,” Reiss said. “Emerging 5G use cases like enhanced Mobile Broadband, Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications and massive Machine-Type Communications will expose new threats and attack vectors that significantly change the security landscape. Operators need to understand the network architecture requirements for consolidated application and security services, greater scale and automation, and lower latency across Gi-LAN, virtualized EPC, and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) environments.” Held just outside of Bally's, the IFX conference brings together leaders from hardware, software, and connectivity, to discuss major developments and changing requirements in the world of infrastructure, including such topics as 5G, edge computing, specialty silicon, and open source software.
